This is the last Will and Testament of me Hubert Leaf Mellersh of Yass in the Colony of New South Wales, Gentleman. I nominate and appoint my brothers, Thomas Brian Mellersh of Godalming in the County of Surrey, England, Solicitor and Wilfred Duke Mellersh of 12 Foster Lane, London, Solicitor and my wife, Sidonia Mellersh Executors, Executrix and Trustees of this my Will. I direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid as soon as can be after my decease. I give and devise my said executors and the survivors of them, their executors and administrators all my real and personal estate .. (next two lines illegible) .. to hold the same in trust to apply the rents (illegible) profits thereof towards the support and maintenance of my wife during her life and also for the support, education and maintenance of my children during their respective minorities and on the decease of my said wife, the whole of my said real and personal estate is to be equally divided amongst my children share and share alike and direct that the share or shares of any of my children who shall die without leaving lawful issue shall be added to the respective portions or shares of the survivors of my said children and be equally divided amongst them. And I direct that should my said wife marry again, my executors shall pay her the sum of one hundred pounds every year only in half yearly payments of fifty pounds during her life, such sum to be held and enjoyed by her as separate estate free from all marital control and without power of anticipation and her receipt shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors. And I further direct that in addition to the one hundred pounds a year to be paid to my wife as above mentioned, my wife is to have the whole of my household furniture and effects as her own absolute property.
As witness my hand at Yass this seventh day of August in the year One thousand Eight hundred and ninetythree.
